Religious Stand on Environment

engagement-ring-history-religionsAlmost all religions believe that nature is one of if not the most important aspect of life within our universe. Although many religions don’t necessarily revolve around nature, some religions such as paganism and most earth religions believe in a form of Gaia (motherly representation of earth), the Romans and Greeks too believed in Gaia as theĀ source of all life proving that in some form or manner nature is important to religious believers.

Pope Francis himself even wrote a book called Laudato si’ in where he talks about various worldly matters, one of this being the environment and stresses the need to watch over our environment and eventually get rid of pollution.’
